‘Mary Poppins’ opens at The Kroc

| May 16, 2025 1:00 AM

Christian Youth Theater North Idaho’s production of “Mary Poppins” opens tonight.

Gabe Deuling plays Burt, the jack-of-all trades who introduces the audience to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins, played by Ashley Cleveland, arrives on their doorstep.

Using a combination of magic and common sense, Mary Poppins must teach the family members how to value each other again. She takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones on whom she has a profound effect.

“Mary Poppins” is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers and astonishing stagecraft.

The show runs Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 25, at the Midge and Pepper Smock Family Theatre at The Kroc, 1765 W. Golf Course Road.

Visit cytnorthidaho.org for details on showtimes and to purchase tickets. Tickets: $20 standard, $22 at the door, $18 for seniors.
